An inspector who works for you, and only for you
GCW Home Inspections is an independent residential inspection company based in Minneapolis, MN, working across the Twin Cities metro. Every inspection is carried out personally by Gerald Wilson.

You book with Gerald and you meet Gerald at the door. He walks the roof, the attic, the panel, the mechanicals and the crawlspace himself, and he writes the report himself, so nothing is lost between the person who saw the house and the person who described it.
You are welcome to come along, ask anything, and see the findings while we are still standing in front of them.
Our one rule
We do not sell repairs, we do not take referral fees, and we do not work for the agent, the seller or the lender. That is the entire business model. You pay us for an honest opinion of the house, and nobody else has a claim on it.

What you can expect
You get the whole picture, not a checklist
Photos, locations and a plain sentence about what each finding means for you, with safety and structure separated from the small stuff. You should be able to read the summary in ten minutes and know what you are dealing with.
We do not sell repairs
No repair arm, no referral fees, no relationship with the seller, the agent or the lender. Nobody but you has a claim on our opinion of the house.
Thermal imaging on every inspection
Included, not an upsell. It finds missing insulation, wet drywall and overheating circuits that a flashlight walk-through simply cannot see.
Report within 24 hours
Often the same evening. Option periods are short and you should not spend two of those days waiting on a PDF.

Based in Minneapolis and inspecting the Twin Cities metro full time. We know what the housing stock around here does: frost heave, ice dams, wet basements in spring, and 1970s panels that insurers no longer like.
